Avian Influenza (AI) Roadshows – October 2017

The Poultry Health and Welfare Group (PHWG) has organised a third series of AI roadshows for British poultry producers. Twelve events take place across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Roadshows are free to attend but registration is vital.

Speakers will include local APHA representatives, veterinary experts, APHA licensing team representatives and the Poultry Club of GB.

Following a series of AI outbreaks during winter 2016/17, the PHWG identified a need to share lessons learned by the industry and government with producers.

This year, The PHWG are also extending the invitation to those who keep poultry on a smaller scale, to ensure the sector as a whole is up-to-date on current disease threats and the requirement for stringent biosecurity protocols during AI outbreaks.

Roadshows run from 10am to 3pm with a free lunch included (the roadshow on 4 October at the Metropole Hotel in Llandrindod Wells will take place in the evening).

As mentioned above, registration is vital! To see where your nearest roadshow is, and to register for this event, click the link below to the NFUs website.
